CROWNS AND SASHES CREATOR WINS PAGEANT GIRL OF THE YEAR AWARD FROM SPARKLES AND RHINESTONES
We are pleased to announce that our creator and editor Charlotte Lister who is the current Ms Diamond South Yorkshire UK has won the Pageant Girl of the Year Award from Sparkles and Rhinestones.
The award was given as part of there 4 year birthday celebrations last month, Charlotte was nominated due to her fundraising efforts over the last two years as well as creating Crowns and Sashes Magazine.
Charlotte has so far raised £605 for her chosen charities and nearly £900 for the Samaritans over the last 2 years.
During lockdown one she created a online blog in which she interviewed over 150 queens from across the globe to allow them to not only share there pageantry journeys but also to highlight there platforms and community work. During lockdown 2 she went back to college to help expanded the knowledge of her pageant platform which is cancer awareness and end of life care, this then lead to her completing an additional 13 courses, 4 in digital skills and social media which then lead her to creating Crowns and Sashes Magazine to not only continue to share pageant stories from across the world but to also fundraise for the Samaritans.
Charlotte said "I am so overwhelmed and grateful to everyone that nominated me for this award, after being a finalist for 2 years it's amazing to know that my hardwork for the pageant community is not only been seen but also recognised. Winning this award has made me even more determined for the final of Ms Diamond UK which is due to take place in August (Covid restrictions pending)."
CROWNS AND SASHES NOMINATED FOR COMMUNITY ORGANISATION AWARD FROM NATIONAL DIVERSITY AWARDS 2021
We are pleased to announce that Crowns and Sashes Magazine have been nominated for a Community Organisation Award from the National diversity Awards 2021. We are all incredibly grateful for the nomination as we aim to not only bring the international pageant community together through the magazine, the blog and the filmed interviews but to also highlight individual pageant finalists and queens achievements, charitable work and community work.
We aim to try and help end the out dated stigma that some people still have of pageantry and highlight the thousands of pounds that our community raises each year.
For those that don't know the The National Diversity Awards is an awards ceremony which honours positive role models, entrepreneurs and community organisations across several different strands within the equality and diversity sector. The National Diversity Awards were founded by CEO, Paul Sesay, with the awards been launched in 2012.

We are pleased to announce that our hostess with the mostess Natasha Streatfield has won Mrs Atlantic 2021 ! We can't wait to see what Natasha does during her reign
