Epilepsy Awareness Post by Sophie Hoyle your Young American Miss International Ambassador

I developed Epilepsy at a young age of 7yrs old, which thankfully was quite quickly under control after a hospital admission from having a seizure. After many tests & MRI scans I was given the diagnosis & medication for my illness.

I do have a blank feeling on times but as quick as it comes it goes & I forget what I'm doing whilst in the middle of doing something.... it's hard to explain & often strange, almost like a dejavu type feeling & I am very forgetful.

You cant really explain how you feel to people who have never experienced it.

I'm celebrating a very big milestone 8yrs seizure & medication free.

Epilepsy wont stop me from Embracing, Hoping, Dreaming, Living, Loving, Believing & Achieving.

I might be 1in 26 but I am also 1 in a million"
